Title: Initial let-down… the next day hit with a huge surprise… Amazing improvement…
Review: For many years we’ve had ongoing issues with the quality of phone service we receiver at our house. Ranging from AT&T’s 2G to 3G to 4G LTE Wireless service to Comcast’s 4G LTE / 5G / 5G+ MNVO for Verizon, to T-mobile’s 5G service, it’s always been a let down in the center of the house. So, when I saw this booster for such an incredible price (I ordered one through Vine, two through personal purchases, because I had such high hopes), I couldn’t resist making the purchase. My thought process was simple: I have bad service at home… I can put this in on one side of the house, and another on the other side of the house, and it capture everything in and around the house… The house isn’t /that/ big, so I realized when I installed it on the first one, it’s not going to take a second. I’d also gotten one to put up at my mother-in-law’s house, so that she had improved service too. Now, I know what you’re thinking… “Why not just enable WiFi Calling?”… Well, I did. And it works pretty well, most of the time. But, from time to time, the internet goes out, and you’ve got no way to make or receive calls. Can you say frustrating? So my initial experience was… less than steller… I went through the process of mounting the antenna to capture the signal from outside, then running my cables over to everything, and placing the booster in the center of the house… my thought was that “It says 5000 sq ft, that should cover all 1400 of ours… Plus, I figured if it didn’t work, it was centralized and not overly essential — It’s not like it’s taking up a great deal of space. I got everything set up, powered it up, gave it a few minutes to find the signal and ‘stablize’… And then I tried some speed tests… They were just as bad as without the booster, so I was a lot bit disappointed…Then, the next day, I started to notice the change… I gave it time to fully sync up, and fully engage with my towers, and then it was just a matter of seeing how well it goes… And the ‘second-day’ feeling was significantly better. So my signal went from 1 bar, with no ability to make calls (at times), to 5 bars with the 5G+ logo next to it. My dropped calls have dropped off, my speed tests are awesome (I tested it a few times, from a few different locations). I downloaded the app to see what it could do but decided it wasn’t worth the additional registration processes to get everything they wanted in place. My signal is significantly higher, I’ve tested it even with internet outages (we had two last month, no impact to my call quality), and my calls haven’t dropped anymore.I’m really impressed with the one-antenna version, even if it is a slightly different model. I cannot stress how nice it is to have consistent service again.

Title: A+ signal booster, A+ customer service
Review: This signal booster is great. I’ve used a “brand name” booster since about 2018 when traveling with the RV, and arriving at a location that has very limited cell reception. The Yagi antenna is more effective than an omni directional antenna, and with various phone apps that will show you where cell towers are in relation to your GPS location, it is easy to determine which direction to point the antenna (and then test with a cell device). This comes with an indoor panel antenna, however, the connection type allows you to use whatever style indoor antenna you’d like. I have a few others and they connect just fine, in the event you can’t get your indoor panel more than the minimum distance from the Yagi antenna. The main booster control board clearly states the power requirements, which is 9v3a. This is great, as you can get a USB-C to DC 2.1mm plug adapter and power this off a battery bank with PD and 9v3a output. This is great for on the go, or during power outages. The overall build quality it great all around, cables included. And for the price this is waaaay cheaper than the big brands for the same functionality. On an additional note, my original package arrived with a damaged Yagi antenna, and the seller immediately rectified the situation, and sent me a replacement at no expense to myself A+ customer support.

Title: It Appears To Work As Described. But, One Antenna Was Missing
Review: No, no, this isn’t a Covid shot. (Thank goodness for that, huh?)This set of antennas, gizmos and cables receives cell phone signals, amplifies them and retransmits them in order to improve cell phone coverage in locations with poor cell signal strengths. However, what I received is not what was described. The page title for this product reads:”Cell Phone Booster for Home & Muti-Room, Up to 5000Sq. Ft,Cell Phone Signal Booster for Rural Area with 2 Indoor Panel Antennas . . . “I received just one indoor panel antenna. In addition, the electronic “booster” has connections for one outdoor antenna and one indoor panel antenna. Clearly, this does not match the page title. (That title is copied and pasted above just as it appeared on the product page. “Muti-Room” should be “Multi-Room.)Additionally, even though the external antenna has a cable pigtail where the coaxial cable connects, the cable on the indoor panel antenna is permanently attached. This limits its versatility and the user, being unable to substitute a shorter (or longer) cable is stuck with the excess or forced to extend the cable using an adapter which tends to increase signal loss while, potentially, reducing reliability. All of this is a long way of saying I would have preferred that the indoor panel antenna(s) be connectorized to increase flexibility. The outdoor antenna seems to be constructed well enough. It’s left to the user to provide a mast for mounting it. No suggested mast diameter is mentioned but the included U-bolts measure around 2-1/8” across the “U.” Meaning something around a 2″ mast would work. Smaller masts may work as well but could require spacers, etc. to achieve a rigid attachment. The antenna has a label which shows it has a gain of 9 to 12 dBi. The instruction manual uses a gain of only 6 dBi in its example signal level calculation. (dBi is a gain specification in which is stated in comparison to a point source. A more common specification is dBd which is the gain relative to a dipole.)Additionally, the output cable on the AC adapter had no wire tie to secure it even though it had bends which seemed to indicate it had been secured previously. Also, the bubble-wrap bag, which contained the booster appears to have been opened: It had a small tear and looked to have been re-taped. So, I am unsure if all of the parts I received were “factory fresh.”After making the four connections required for operation, the booster system was given an initial test. All band, except Band 12/13 were received as the outdoor antenna was rotated through a 180 degree arc. Not all bands were received simultaneously. However, when monitoring the signal strength on a cell phone, an increase in indicated signal strength correlated with the reception of two of the bands.Although the equipment arrived not exactly as described, it does seem to work. Much more evaluation is needed, however: Which bands are most beneficial, the level of meaningful improvement in this location, etc.I am giving this booster a somewhat charitable 4-stars.
