Review: I live in an apartment that’s essentials a “junior bedroom” my bedroom has French doors to the living room that stay open. A kitchen, (separated by wall), next to the living room and the bathroom, (separated by wall) across from the kitchen and on other side of bedroom, (closet is on that side). Built in a box/ square formation.No matter where I put the indoor antenna. I HAVE TO BE STANDING NEXT TO IT in order to really increase signal or bars. Now does it actually improve and extend signal? Yes! Given the 2*star-rating.But I can tell you this much. I know for damn sure my neighbors aren’t benefitting from this! Maybe my upstairs neighbors if they happen to be standing DIRECTLY OVER, I would say a 4’x4’’ area, the antenna. Then MAYBE. But with the old building materials and the fact that I had to order this anyway… then probably not

Title: No support, no help. It just didn’t work
Review: It is just typical, dismal Chinese electronic junk. It turns on but the instructions are so poorly written and there is zero support. I looked over everything and my tech person looked it over. She commented on how poor the instructions are. All the “Five star” ratings are eerily similar to Ai-generated language. I did like the feel of some of the components. One part felt solid and lit up in a hopeful manner.Don’t be taken like I was. If you don’t have reception, this isn’t going to work magic without a degree in electrical engineering.

Title: Should have bought sooner

Review: It’s hard to know how to rate this. It seems like a good product but we could not get it to work for us. I am giving it three stars (neutral) because I think it’s good quality and installing it wasn’t a problem, but we have no way of know how well it actually works in a better environment than ours.We have very poor cell reception where we live. On good days we might get 2 bars, but that’s rare. 90%+ of the time we are 1 bar and constantly have dropped calls or the caller sounds like a broken robot. A friend of ours had success with a cell phone booster but they had a stronger starting signal to begin with, so we thought we would try to see if it could help us get better quality calls. Unfortunately, it could not help us. The booster seemed to acquire the signal but drop it a minute or so later… then reacquire… then drop. I think this may be good product for people with a little better (2 bar or better) tower signal, but it definitely good not help at the 1 bar tower signal, so if that’s all you have to begin with, this is probably not for you.Observations while attempting to set it up:- It came with enough cable to allow us to set it up anywhere on the roof- Came with a window “passthrough” cable for going through an existing window frame- The manual was Ok, but could be better. There were a few times we had to “figure it out” on our own as we didn’t see what the manual indicated we should. Likely because of the low tower signal- decent instructions for both iPhone and Android (what app to use), but the app(s) may be a bit complicated for some people. Some parts had me scratching my head- Very good instructions for mounting and placement of the receiver and antennae (distance required to prevent overlap)- came with all mounting parts except a pole (which I would recommend if your putting on the roof, to both stabilize and get additional height)It’s a shame this didn’t work for us, but it may for others. My recommendation is to make sure you have at least 2 bars (of 5) of tower signal to begin with.

Review: Double check the band your phone is using when you are at the exact place you plan on installing the external antenna. Every phone can do this so Google it and research your band and tower location on Cell Mapper. If you fall in bands 66, 4, or 7 then this booster will likely help.With your mapped tower location it is a fairly simple task to point your antenna at the tower and connect it to the base.The base works very well with direct line of sight. Through one wall it does well, and through two walls it struggles. 3 is almost impenetrable and you’re back onto your old connection.The unit definitely helps, but is a bit finicky. Set it up on a warm day when you can go up to your antenna and down to your base with ease as you may be doing this a few times.
