Review: UPDATE: 4 months later, the ring still works as well as the day I got it, but the adhesive did fall off. I think this was because my case is textured, and I have no reason to think it would have failed on a smooth case. Fortunately, it came with 2 adhesive circles, so I’m just gonna put it back on.—Been using this for about a week, and I have to say, this ring was the best $8 I’ve spent in a while. I bought a Pixel 7a, which is too big for me to comfortably hold with one hand, but I didn’t like any of the cases with rings built in because they’re huge. I was afraid it wouldn’t adhere to my case because it has a little texture (“Crave Dual Guard for Google Pixel 7a Case”), but it hasn’t budged. The clear sticker that goes between the case and the ring is starting to peel, but so far at least it’s just aesthetic and not a functional issue.The ring itself works great. The hinge rotates around the disk, so it it’s super adjustable. There’s enough tension that the ring stays out wherever you put it. Even the weight of the phone doesn’t push the ring back in if I’m using it as a kickstand.I was really hoping I could find something that would allow my new phone to work with my magnetic car mount. The hold isn’t as secure as it was with my previous phone, where a large metal plate was built into the case, but it works about 90% as well. If I don’t center it well on the mount or the charge cable pulls on it, it will fall off. Still, I’m really happy about the functionality this was able to add to my phone!

Review: See updates below.The ring holds its position tightly at any position you choose, any of its 360 degree circle of positions or the 180 degree of flip movement for the ring on it’s base. It will stay there with confidence, but not so tight that you need pliers to move it.I have an iPhone 11 Pro and mounted this finger ring at the center bottom edge of my JETech TPU case. The TPU case is hard and smooth, so the ring adheres to it as if it was installed on the phone it’s self.Installing it on a TPU case (not a silicone case) enables you to remove the ring if you wish to without any possibility of damaging your expensive phone.The distance between my installed finger ring base and the iPhone 11 Pro camera is 3 inches. The width of the Yootech Wireless Qi-Charging Stand is 2 5/8ths, so plenty of room to use the charging stand.Three extra 3M double sided sticky pads are included when installation mistakes are made.(I wear an extra large glove) I use my pinkie finger to secure it in my hand while using the phone. Getting a phone out of front pocket of jeans is hard to do while sitting, with finger ring mounted at the bottom edge makes removing your phone possible with out wandering off the road trying.The base of this finger ring is about 30% smaller than the finger ring base sold by Apple.06-13, six months later update. The ring base started to move I believe from my body heat combined with this summer heat in my front pocket. It finally fell off while on my bedside charger over night. So be sure and save those extra attachment pads.11-09-24 Update. What is the service life of a device like this before it breaks? Good while it lasted, mine pulled apart after 10 months.I attempted to pull my phone out of my front jean pocked while driving, it resisted and the ring separated from its base. I was able to snap the ring back on it’s base but it fits loose now. I can no longer trust it from coming apart while carrying the phone by the ring anymore and dropping the phone. The rating goes to 3.5 but these is no half stars so I’ll give it 4 because it was good while it lasted. Also the ring began to spin freely a few months ago so using it as a kick stand no long applied before it broke.

Title: Five stars and three cheers for customer service
Review: My original review (below) still stands however I amended my star rating from 2 to 5 because their customer service is top notch and that counts for a lot these days. I should have reached out prior to leaving a less than stellar review to begin with and not giving them an opportunity to resolve any issues or concerns I had prior to leaving said review is not cool on my part. I know first hand that businesses rely on ratings/reviews.Not only did they reach out to address my concerns but Christine went above and beyond to rectify them. I really appreciate that kind of customer service especially when it’s specifically done to ensure customer satisfaction and not as a round about way to “bribe” unhappy customers into changing their reviews that potential customers rely on when shopping online. I felt my original review was and still is a fair assessment of the product but at the very least it’s good to honestly report that should you have a problem with a product (hey, it happens) then you will be in good hands with a company who cares about your business. Thanks Christine!Original Review of Product:I wanted to find something to make my iPhone 8 Plus more bearable to hold and less damaging on my wrists.The good: this was easy to install on my phone and the material was surprisingly more solid and attractive than I expected.The bad: the ring is a strange design. The diameter of the ring isn’t small enough for one finger and not big enough for two to comfortably grip the device. At times it inflamed my wrists and hands, which completely defeats its purpose. It rotates and flips which is great for versatility and accommodating different holding positions but it makes it difficult when you’re trying to keep the device steady. Not to mentioned after three months of gentle use, literally to the day, the o-ring broke off. The plastic adhesive had also started slowly peeling back and off as of a few days ago.I won’t be purchasing another one. I got about three months worth and while this might work for some, it does not work for me.

Magnet worked perfectly with my car-mount and stayed as it should even with my ring being just below center [large phone]. Review: 3rd & final updateI finally purchased a new phone last month, Feb 2023, and needed a new phone cover and ring holder to go with it. So naturally I bought this one again. I bought 2 different phone covers and rings to go on them. The surface of one cover doesn’t hold the sticker that goes in between the cover and the ring so I’m going to try to super glue that one to hold the ring in place. It’s just the material of the cover. My other one works fine although the sticker is coming loose in a few places. Trimming it to be the ring size might be better but I didn’t think of it. If I have to replace it more than once I’ll super glue it too as it worked well for my old phone. Aside from that, I love everything about this ring.The old ring on my old phone still hasn’t fallen apart though it looks nothing like it did when I first bought it. It’s remained the same from my review in 2021 and it still works. I’ve added a side-by-side photo of my old and new ring holder. I’ll always keep coming back to this one; it has served me well2nd UPDATEIt is now black Friday in 2021 and i am STILL using my first ring from Lamicall. It still works well although i am looking to purchase a new one in the next 6 months or so, which will be the exact same one as i currently have.Since my last update, my ring has lost its original coating, and the coating under that just about everywhere. The place where my finger touches the ring the most has even eroded some of the metal, or at least, that’s what I think has happened based on how it looks (if i remember, I’ll take a photo in daylight and post it)The pin that holds the ring attached to the base has come out of one end, but still holds it all together from the remaining end.I’ve super glued the ring onto the back of my case as after some time it just didn’t hold any longer; probably because of the shungite pieces I’ve shoved inside my protective case and not because of the ring itself. It just hasn’t got much hold with a back that’s bumpy and without super glue. Even so, i still use it and love it as i did 2 years ago and so far this has been my longest lasting phone ring ever. I definitely recommend 2000%1st UPDATE:It is now several months since I purchased this ring. It is still working. I never bothered buying another ring from someplace else because I figured I had spent enough money trying to find a ring that doesn’t fall apart. I got used to the size of this one, and now its large-ness doesn’t seem an issue anymore. I had one sticker come loose on me in all this time. I couldn’t find my spares and contacted the seller to purchase some, but they were kind enough to send me replacements without asking me to pay for it. Customer service is top and so is this ring. It’s lasted longer than my previous 2 combined. The dark color has rubbed off in some places, exposing a copper finish, but I really don’t care about that.I also purchased one of those magnetic ring holders that you push onto your car air vent from somewhere else, and it holds really well as well. I’ve increased my stars from 3 to 5. I’ll definitely buy again, though it looks like I won’t have to for some time.Original review:The ring quality seems made very well and sturdy. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks though, and my previous 2 (different brands) lasted about 4-6 months so it’s difficult to tell just how durable this ring is. But, so far, it looks very promising.Application was easy and the ring works well. I like that it came with more sticky circles to change into new phones, or smaller rings? -> My only problem is that the ring is huge! I can fit 2 fingers in down to my middle finger bones, which makes the ring rather useless for my skinny fingers. The diameter is 1.5 inches / 3 cm wideI’ve contacted the company a few days after receiving my ring asking if they have a smaller size I could exchange mine for, but have not yet received a response, despite their email stating that if I had any issues I’d receive immediate attention 🤨 hence the reduced stars. Obviously their customer service department cares less than they want us to think they do. Hopefully I can find a smaller ring and make it work as well as this one.
