Nice, good quality!
I bought this for my coin collection and it works lovely. The magnification is adjustable in many ways making it very nice easy hook up for your PC as well. Lights are bright and adjustable. This makes the viewing ability excellent on your PC along with good photos! I tried a few others before this one and this one is very nice. I’m happy.

Having purchased it, I have no idea how I did without it before.
Purchased on recommendation this digital microscope is perfect for soldering small SMB components and electronics repair. Since that’s my only application, I’ve only really used the “L” attachment and haven’t tried the other lenses. This is fairly easy to put together with comprehensive instructions, the end result is very sturdy and has multiple degrees of adjustment making it easy to focus. The two flexible lights provide well needed detail and are bright enough once you find the correct angle. The ability to record video and take screenshots is a nice feature but one I’ve only used sparingly. That said on the few occasions I’ve tried it it’s been easy to use and transfer to my PC, and surprisingly high detail. There are some projects that I wouldn’t have been able to do without this microscope, and some that I would have but this made much easier. This now stays plugged in on my workbench and sometimes I find myself just flipping on the lights even when I don’t need the magnification.

Decent resolution- Very easy to use.
This is a fun device. I did expect the image quality to be a bit sharper. There is some obvious noise in the exports. However, im enjoying the size, build quality and features on this. The lights are bright and practical. The remote is very handy and responsive. The menu is easy to use and lenses easy to swap. It may not be ideal for high quality biological or microscopic photography, but it’s perfect for jewelers and collectors who want to very closely inspect the quality of an item.

High value for digital microscope. Most likely best value in this price range.
This scope has high-quality optics. The interchangeable lenses are useful. If you are looking at relatively flat objects, even the highest mag lens is good. The images shown are of the “0” in a penny (“2021”) and the dots are pigments on a credit card. The display and microscope are plastic but well-made. It has metal thread inserts where it counts. The focus is smoother than most cheap microscopes. It has an adjustable metal stand that is a good value. At high magnification, the stand is not very steady but OK. It works with the Windows camera app as well as the “S-eye” program that you can download from the internet. With the PC connected, you can only get 1920X1080, but it is still decent for most situations. You can save higher resolution pictures on the included memory card and access them from the PC when you reboot it as a “memory device”.

AMAZING. Homeschool dream.
This microscope is AWESOME. I was willing to spend money, but didn’t want to spend more money on a microscope that was junk. This was worth the investment and works like a dream. I love the big screen that all of my kids can look at, at once. We have looked at fabric and plants and bugs and fingers and computer components. We found a dead bee this morning and it was so cool to look at up close! What a cool tool.

Great scope, feels cheap but works fantastically. Just needs semi-careful handling.
I was a bit weary when taking it out of the box–it feels cheap. Cheap plastic, metal, etc. I can’t speak for longevity, so hopefully it lasts me a while. But it works surprisingly well. HDMI output is fantastic, and can work as a web cam. They also have propriety software. I couldn’t get it to work, but I received a support response very quickly that solved the problem. However, if they put the latest drivers on their website I wouldn’t have had to reach out to support. It’s possible I just didn’t see where that download was. Either way, their support was fantastic. This seems like the “cheap” option, but it’s surprisingly useful. It can record video, take screenshots, and these are exportable via USB or you can pop in a microSD card (also included).Uses mini hdmi to hdmi for video output, and it also includes an HDMI cable.I wish it would have included a downwards facing right angle HDMI (it includes two right angle usb cables–one for power/lights, the other for PC connection) but that’s the only piece of kit that I thought was lacking. The instructions are clear, but there are a few details missing. As for the microscope operation it’s decent. Doesn’t feel professional grade, but it functions almost as well–and it works for checking out tiny issues on circuit boards. I was able to fix a few things I couldn’t before, so that’s exciting. It’s cheapness does, unfortunately, come into play for some aspects. It’s coarse adjustment is rough–it’s just two collars, one locks and the other serves as a sort of stop so you can lock it where you want. Its fine adjustment is smooth and works predictably, however–and that’s really the most important one. There is a digital zoom that is also pretty good.I don’t like the fact that not all of the functionality on the unit is able to be adjusted for with just the controls on the display itself. Instead, you have to use the remote to access some functions and menus you can’t otherwise. That means that losing the remote bricks some of the device’s functionality.the 7 inch screen is clear, and good enough. HDMI and USB output is a plus, though outputting with USB puts a bit black box on the device’s screen, almost forcing you to use the computer monitor. Outputting in HDMI doesn’t have this problem, and I ended up using a capture card to grab clean HDMI output while using the scope’s display without the USB black box obstruction.Overall, I’d recommend it as an affordable option–and it functions as well as some of the ~$400 dollar scopes I’ve used. I’m honestly impressed with its functionality. It does, however, FEEL cheap. And I don’t know how long some of these parts are for.I also didn’t use it for any at home biology observing–even though it comes with a light box/glass slide holder (it also comes with spring-tension slide clips for stereoscopic type viewing). I didn’t use the light box or check out the slides, but it’s really cool that they included it.

Amazon Customer –
I’ve just started out in the electronics hobby and went way overboard and just bought everything I could ever need, this included. Did I really need this? No. Do I regret it? No. This thing is my baby and I’m absolutely in love with it. I first got into microscopy at about 13 when my mom bought me an antique 1959 Japanese made microscope, thing weighs at least 30lbs of pure steel lol, but I love it also, and it wasn’t cheap whatsoever. The reason I’m bringing this up, is because this Adonstar is just as good, if not better than my antique beast of a scope (in terms of zoom and picture quality, definitely not build quality lol). I’ve always wanted something I didn’t have to squint one eye to look into, and I cannot think of a better way to look at tiny things than this. It’s fantastic for electronics as it has a long throw (or long focal length) lens (the L lens) that can focus on everything from 30 centimeters to I think about 12? And 2 other lenses, one of which can literally see the bumpy surface of an ants head, it’s insanely magnified. I really love the huge range of magnification each lens can do, but you will have the fiddle with the different knobs. What I do, is max out the knob on the lens itself (either close or far), and then move the microscope until it’s clear, bit of a trick for ya. The 3 lenses are nice to have and you can pretty much get as far or as close as I think you’ll ever need to get short of getting an electron microscope. I also LOVE the screen, holy crap is it ever crisp. I still can’t believe my eyes when I zoom onto a circuit board or insect and it finally comes into focus and it’s just sooo clear and vivid. The 2 LED lights are really nice as well, super bright. But I wish you could turn them on/off and dim them with the remote (yes remote, pretty handy actually). You can only control the lights with the other wired switch, but it also turns the scope on and off? Kind of weird, wish it only controlled the lights. It also as a separate slide holder with a built in light, which is a great addition, although you do have to unplug the other LED lights to power it. A really strange thing I can’t figure out, is that there are 2 power cords. One of which powers just the screen itself, and another that powers everything. I’ve no idea why they just didn’t include the one that powers everything, but hey, an extra USB cable is nothing I’ll complain about, just strange. With all the positive things I have to say, there are definitely some caveats. First being the way to move the microscope up and down. Yes it has the knobs the move it up and down, but the throw is very short and is really only for focusing. Otherwise, you have to loosen a screw and move the whole thing up and down, I quite dislike this method. My antique microscope can go all the way from max height to minimum height with just twisting the knobs, I really wish this microscope had this, but I suppose it saves on price. My other grip is that in my kit as least, the emergency stopper screw wasn’t long enough to actually tighten the stopper, thankfully Adonstar has included spare ones and the spare was able to tighten it fully, but I was a bit disappointed after spending this kind of money. My only other real gripe is that the screen and microscope material does feel of fairly cheap plastic, but again, this is a price saving measure so I’m ok with it overall. I can tell this brand really puts care into their products, so I don’t think of it as corner cutting, just cost saving that makes it down to us customers (as you can tell by the price, insanely cheap for what it can do). The UI is nicely laid out and simple to use, I never needed the manual at all. The video and picture ability is very crisp and clear, although I’ve not found a way (nor do I think it’s possible) to change the pictures from a square to the full aspect ratio. I think the pics are in 4:3, while the videos are in 16:9 (or whatever it is, but it does fill the entire screen). I’m a bit annoyed at that, as I’ve had to retake some pics as what I wanted to capture didn’t fit into that tiny 4:3 square. I won’t take a point off as in the grand scheme of things, it’s a very minor issue, and I also could be just not noticing the option to change that. The videos are super smooth at FHD60, it’s actually crazy, and the ability to go up to 4K24 is nice if you need the extra quality bump, although 30fps would have been nicer. Also I think the 7″ screen is more than enough, I was debating between it and the 10.1″, but I’m glad I went with this. It has the option for HDMI out via a mini-HDMI port, and once I have more desk space I think I’ll output it to a small TV anyway. Plus, even if you don’t have a cheap TV/monitor for it, 7″ is probably more than enough for someone anyway. I think eventually I may try to make or find a different stand for it, as I think it’s by far the weakest link, and I’m always sketched out having to change the distance (I just slowly move the emergency stopper down bit by bit, it takes longer but if I accidentally lose grip it’s more than worth it). My only other very small gripe is that I wish there was a quick change ability for the lenses, I like to swap them out often and having to remove the 2 thumb screws each time is a bit of a drag (for example, on my antique microscope it has the 3 already mounted, and you just rotate them to change to each one). Overall, I feel bad even saying anything negative about this scope as I REALLY quite like it, of all the expensive products I’ve gotten lately for this hobby, this definitely takes the cake as my favorite piece of equipment and I think it always will be. If it broke, I’d get another in a heartbeat.
