   I purchased the Auso Solar Camera on Amazon as a quick and easy way to monitor my premises, and overall, I’m very satisfied with the product and the company’s customer service.The camera was incredibly simple to set up and worked perfectly right out of the box. Its high-quality image resolution and versatile storage options either via cloud subscription or local memory card are standout features that make it highly functional and reliable.After a few months of use, I noticed some issues with the camera’s ability to charge, and the battery health began to decline. I reached out to the Auso support team, and their response was exceptional. After some troubleshooting steps, which unfortunately didn’t resolve the problem, they arranged for a replacement camera to be sent promptly and even offered to extend my warranty.I truly appreciated their efficient and accommodating service, which made the experience stress-free. I’m excited to install my replacement camera, and I have confidence in its performance.If you’re looking for a reliable and high-quality solar camera backed by excellent customer support, I definitely recommend the Auso Solar Camera!

   AOSU SolarCam D1 Max is hands down the best
   I received the AOSU SolarCam D1 Max camera after purchasing it at Amazon. I received it in two days and the equipment was nicely packaged. I unboxed the camera and it came with everything you need to install it with ease. The screw pattern stickers made it easy to drill pilot holes and mounting the camera’s base and the solar panel base.Once I unpacked the camera I inserted a sd card (purchased separately) to record locally rather than subscribing (no subscription required). It also came with a shot type c charging cable to charge the camera fully before mounting. I plugged in the camera to charge and while charging I downloaded the AOSU app and connected the camera. It’s always better to have the camera synced and connected before mounting it. By syncing the camera I can now see what percent the battery is charged to. After syncing I played around with the controllers and settings. It’s a very impressive camera with great quality picture. I have used other security cameras but this particular pan/tilt/zoom camera is hands down the best.When I synced the AOSU camera it connects through 2.4G wifi and since i use mesh wifi the connection is excellent as there is a mesh about 25 feet away from camera making a strong connection of 94% making the picture quality great. The camera is presently located in the alley on a tree and the solar panel is receiving good sunlight changing the camera fully everyday. This camera is just too good and I’ll be relocating it to utilize its high quality. The two way talk works great and the sound is clear. I was able to have a conversation with my son while he payed outside.Overall, i highly recommend the AOSU Solar Cam D1 Max, it’s just hands down the best out in the market.

   Solid Semi Off-Grid Cam with Great Video
   Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this up in May after finding out Google Nest will no longer be supported (which I dropped way too much money on a few years back). A friend of mine had a few AOSU cameras and liked them, so I figured I’d give it a go. Ended up grabbing four different models to try them out, including this 360 cam with the separate solar panel.First off, the camera quality is great. The picture looks crisp, even at night, and the built-in light is super bright when it kicks on. It also has solid night vision if you want to run it dark. Motion tracking works too, though it’s maybe a bit too sensitive sometimes. I get alerts from bugs and cars on the road that are nowhere near my actual driveway. I kind of miss how Nest let me highlight zones to manage stuff like that. As far as I can tell, this camera doesn’t do that yet (unless it is only included in the subscription).One thing I like a lot is the fact it records to a microSD card (I ordered a 128GB SD separately). It only uses Wi-Fi when I check the live feed, so it doesn’t choke up the network like Nest cams always seemed to. And even though AOSU makes it sound like you have to subscribe to their cloud service, that’s not true. I skipped the subscription and haven’t lost a single feature that I’ve noticed. Just be aware, if you do go the cloud route, it’s charged per device, which adds up real quick. I think it was like $7 a month for each camera or $27/month for a 5-device plan. Personally, not worth it.I specifically wanted this camera to mount on the north side of my chicken coop, but still face the solar panel to the south. The separate solar setup worked perfect for that. It gave me enough cable to run the panel about 8 feet away and still had about a foot left over to bundle. The camera itself has a little 18-inch pigtail that connects to the solar cord, which was nice. It’s about 50 yards from my Wi-Fi router and I’ve had zero signal issues so far.It’s not perfect, but it’s been reliable, sharp-looking, and fits my needs. I’d say 4 stars mainly because the motion alert setup could use some improvement and that subscription pricing is kinda wild. But for the price, especially if you catch it on sale, it’s a win.

   Quality product & exceptional service
   These cameras work great. Easy to mount, clear picture quality even at night. Very quick connectivity & even though one is some distance from WiFi, it still functions just as well as the one closest to the router. I’m impressed with the long battery life. I had one that seemed to have charging issues but I notified the mfr and Ann quickly sent me a replacement plus an extended warranty. Exceptional customer service. Highly recommend.

   Clear picture
   These cameras are easy to install and set up. The picture is very clear and the camera rotates to find the moving object. I was even able to see a opossum at night on my iPad from the camera feed. At this time I am not getting notifications when movement is detected. I have not installed the micro SD card yet (must be purchase separately) but assume I will get notices once that is installed and will not have to pay for a monthly service.

   I bought this camera mainly to keep an eye on my dogs when I’m not home. Installation was quick and easy—definitely a strong point. The 360° view is a great feature, especially for tracking pets around the room or yard, but due to the large size of the camera, you’ll want to mount it high for the best coverage and to keep it from being too intrusive.One thing I really appreciated is that you can use a microSD card instead of being locked into a cloud subscription. That flexibility is a big plus. Also, when I had an issue with one of the cameras, customer support (shoutout to Julie!) was super helpful and resolved the problem quickly.That said, there are some areas that could use improvement. The tracking is inconsistent—it sometimes misses my dogs entirely, instead locking onto things like shadows, swaying tree branches, or background movement outside the main zone. The zoom function is digital only, so when you zoom in, the image quickly becomes pixelated—don’t expect clear closeups.The app works, but it could definitely be better. Loading camera feeds often takes a while, and the pop-up ads feel out of place in a security-focused app. Live view is functional, but switching between cameras and moving the camera around can be sluggish. Audio is another weak spot—while I can speak through the camera, I often can’t clearly hear sounds from the other side, which limits two-way communication.At night, visibility drops significantly. The night vision is okay in a small, controlled area, but beyond 25-30 feet it becomes hard to see anything clearly. I also had one camera randomly go offline for a while, though it came back without needing a reset.In short: this camera system can be useful, especially if you want affordable, local-storage security with wide-angle views. But between the sluggish app, inconsistent tracking, and weak night performance, it feels like the hardware has potential that the software just doesn’t fully support yet. With a few updates, it could be great—but for now, it’s a mixed bag.I’ll post an update in a couple of months if any new issues come up.

   One of the best features of this camera is that the solar panel is NOT connected to the actual camera. This is ideal in many situations because not every location has sun to hit the panel. I was able to install the camera where I needed it to AND put the solar panel in the perfect spot for solar charging.Within a year, I started to have problems with charging. I tried to debug the reason and could only figure it had soemething to do with the charging connection between the solar panel and camera. I contacted customer support and tried a few suggestions, sent a video of what was going on showing how the charge light would go off and one when wiggling the connectors.In the end, the company simply replaced the camera.Sometimes electronics fail and it is no fault of the manufacturer. What deserves a 5 star rating here is how the customer (ME) was supported when something sent wrong within warranty. I simply had to prove there was a problem with the charging, which is more than fair, and they replaced it for free.I own 6 of the cameras from AOSU. I now own their doorbell camera, two different outdoor security cameras, and an inside monitor camera. I have recommended these cameras to others.

   got it when it was on sale, it might be the best bang for the buck sercurtiy camera in the market. The camera/app response time is quick (had the arlo be4). The solar panel works ALOT better than the p1 max and the previous generation, even in winter time in Toronto. Before, I needed to bring in the p1 max and charge it and now it’s so convenient. picture quality is great, sound and speaker quality is also very good, very little lag time. there are some suggestions which i hope i can see in the next update.1. an option in the app where it can set the camera to do a panoramic view every 5/10/30/60 mins2. led to be turned on whenever it senses movement during certain time frame, i don’t know why, sometimes it turns on sometimes it doesn’t.3. (hardware) include a mount where i can mount it “upward” like a L shape, so i can mount it under the roof of my garage instead of drilling holes on my brick wall.Overall, highly recommended it’s a nice system.

    I purchased this camera as I wanted something low maintenance and easy to install. It’s solar powered so no electrical wiring needed or manual charging. Installation was easy and setup was a breeze. I purchased 2 units but one that is exposed to full sun all day long has been sending me the dying alert daily with battery power fallen below 20%. The other one which faces the street therefore doing a lot more detecting and less sun exposure maintained it’s battery level perfectly well. So it didn’t make sense that the backyard one with full sun and nothing really to detect was dying on daily basis. I would’ve scored it very low but then the customer service was stellar. They responded quickly and offered me to send a new unit. I’m happy with the product and its functions. If the new one maintains the battery well then this camera will be perfect 5/5. I do recommend this brand for its excellent customer service as well.
