Total Game-Changer for Movie Nights!
Okay, I’ll be honest—I wasn’t sure about grabbing a portable projector at first. But let me tell ya, the BOOM Air completely blew me away! As someone who’s always up for spontaneous adventures, this little projector is an absolute dream come true. It’s incredibly compact, literally the size of my water bottle, and charges directly using my power bank. No more scrambling for outlets during camping trips or backyard hangouts! The built-in Google TV is incredibly smooth. I turned it on, and within seconds, I was streaming Netflix and Disney+—no extra gadgets or fuss. And the picture quality? Simply amazing. Native 1080P makes everything look crisp, especially in dim lighting. Oh, and the auto-focus? It uses some cool ToF technology that adjusts on the fly. So even if I move it around, the image stays perfectly sharp. No annoying manual tweaking! Sound-wise, this thing is a powerhouse. The 10W speaker with 360° Dolby Audio fills the entire space. Seriously, I didn’t even need a Bluetooth speaker. But yeah, it does have two-way Bluetooth, so I easily connected my headphones for some private viewing. We’ve had epic movie marathons under the stars, and it’s just as awesome for cozy indoor binges. Honestly, it’s worth every penny. If you hate being tied down and love big vibes anywhere, you absolutely must try this smart projector.

My Go-To Portable Smart Projector
Last weekend, I took this portable projector up to my friend’s rooftop for an outdoor movie night—it absolutely nailed it. Even with the glow from nearby streetlights, the picture stayed crisp at 1080p. The smart auto-focus kept everything sharp as we moved the screen around. Best part? Being powered by a USB-C power bank (you’ll need 65W or more) meant no messy cables, just pure portable convenience. Setup was a breeze thanks to the built-in Google TV – just connect to Wi-Fi and we were streaming instantly. The speaker delivered surprisingly rich, room-filling audio – seriously. Plus, the cool “visualization” effect on the speakers added a really unique and stylish touch. Honestly, if you want a compact, all-in-one projector that works just as well in your living room as it does outdoors on the patio, this is hands down the best pick I’ve tried. A real smart solution for movies anywhere.

Easy setup and good picture
It’s working great. Setup was easy. The picture and sound are very good. Love the auto-focus and auto-keystone.

One super annoying thing, lots of greats
From a perspective of someone who has a few other projectors -Price point on this for what you get isn’t bad. The unit is lightweight, but solid enough.I was able to take it out of the box, and have it set up with google TV in about 15 minutes. The image quality is not bad for something as small as it is. It’s not ‘small’, but it also isn’t the size of what I would think of for a basic projector. This is what I would want to bring over to a friends house for a movie night, or maybe for some split screen gaming.Picture quality is nice. The colors are vibrant enough without being washed out or cheap looking, and in a dark room, contrast is OK too. It really does need as much light treatment as you can give it. No full daylight rooms will let this work well at all.One thing that surprised me about this was the speaker at the back. This one is totally serviceable for using for sound. It sounds about as good, or a little bit better than a set of built in TV speakers. It isn’t overly tinny, or quiet, and since it’s at the back, it has a better chance of facing the viewer as long as you sit behind it.I like that this has an HDMI in so I can connect what I want to this, without adapters or other things getting in the way. I have a super small ultraportable (think a few inches wide and deep, less than an inch thick), and that doesn’t have any way to take external inputs. This one does – it’s behind a rubber cover that only is removable once you move the projector out of it’s storage position, located on the side.Auto focus works really well. I didn’t need to do any manual focusing. The remote does have two dedicated auto focus buttons on it, so you can dial it in if it doesn’t trigger a focus routine on it’s own.My power bank said this uses roughly 45 watts when streaming something over wifi, so you’d need a beefy power bank to get through a full movie. I’ve used a few PD power supplies for laptops, and it’s worked well with all of those so far. It includes an AC adapter, but the fact that it’s a barrel jack is sort of confusing to me. I’d rather carry a smaller USB-C cable and wall adapter with this. The one, glaring, “You had one job” moment that I have with this is how it “stores”.The projector stores vertically when not in use, and when you get it out of the box.The issue here, is that the speaker is the part that is closest to the stand, giving it protection from bumps, touches, and the like. The lens is out there, just hanging out on the other side, nothing to keep you from smearing your fingerprints on it, bonking it by accident, letting it collect dust since it faces straight up… I’m baffled by that design choice. There is no lens cap either. That would help mitigate that, but they didn’t include one, either. As for apps, they seem to work well. I followed some generic guides online to sideload plex onto it, and other than being a bit laggy to start, it does play fine without playback issues. Only decodes x264 – found any AV1 or x265 would hit the server to transcode first. The UI for everything else is quick, until you play something. It isn’t speedy, but playback works without hiccups, so I can live with it.

I actually owned one of Aurzen’s projectors before and really liked it, but it was a bit bulky and took up more space than I wanted. This new BOOM Air feels like the perfect fix—super light, easy to carry around, and that swivel stand makes setup a total no-brainer. I’ve moved it from the living room to the bedroom in seconds, no fuss at all.Picture quality is sharp (native 1080p, and it even takes 4K input). I hooked it up with HDMI to my PS5 and played FC 25—it ran buttery smooth with zero lag, just like on a big TV. The autofocus is instant, so no messing around with blurry edges. (The video’s quality has been reduced to 1080p to be uploaded on Amazon, it looks better and more neat)The sound actually surprised me. A lot of reviews said it was solid, and I agree—loud and clear enough that I didn’t even think about hooking up external speakers for indoor use. Dolby Audio really does its job here. Outdoors or for bigger spaces I might still pair Bluetooth speakers, but honestly for day-to-day, it’s more than enough.Another nice touch: the Google TV OS is surprisingly fast. I expected a bit of lag (like I’ve seen on other projectors), but apps and menus load quickly and switching between them feels smooth. Big win there. And while I didn’t test it with a power bank yet, knowing it can run on one just makes it even more travel-friendly. Can totally see myself bringing it on trips or even using it outside for a casual movie night.

The setting up is so easy. You just need to download the Google Home app to your phone by scanning the QR code and follow the simple online instructions. Everything else just works automatically. No need to focus, it’s automatic. If you need to move the projector, it automatically refocuses. No need to set the corners straight (keystone), it’s automatic. You can also adjust the zoom if you don’t want a large screen. The picture quality is really clear with natural colours.Everything is preloaded, IE all the platforms are already available without trying to install them yourself, such as All4, ITVX, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube and many many more. The sound quality is really good, maybe not loud enough for some locations such as outdoor use but this projector easily Bluetooth’s to external speakers. You can also easily stream films and programs etc from your phone or other devices. Everything works just as it should and is very easy to use. I intend to use this in my campervan when on my travels as it it very portable, lightweight and small enough to pack into a small area, but this is good enough to be your main TV/film device-it’s that good.I can’t speak highly enough about this projector. I definitely recommend it.

I really like this projector. It’s small, light, and easy to carry around compared to my two other projectors. The stand lets me angle it anywhere, even on the ceiling, which is fun.The picture looks sharp in 1080p, especially in a dark room as shown in my pictures and videos. It’s not super bright, so you’ll need to use it at night or with the lights off for the best results. The sound is surprisingly good for such a small device. It’s clear and loud enough for a bedroom or living room, and you can connect Bluetooth speakers if you want more like what I did.I like that it has Google TV built in, so I can watch Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+ without needing extra devices. Setup is super easy too—the autofocus and keystone correction work quickly.Another cool thing is that it can run on a USB-C power bank, so I can use it outside during camping which I plan to do on the upcoming long weekend.Overall, for the price, it’s a great projector for movies and shows, especially family nights.

I’ve been using the Aurzen Boom Air for a few days now, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The picture quality is crisp and vibrant, even in a dimly lit room, and the brightness is impressive for such a small unit. The sound is surprisingly full, with clear dialogue and enough bass to make movies and music enjoyable without external speakers.Setup was a breeze.. it connected to my devices quickly, and the built-in smart features made streaming effortless. The portability is a huge plus; I can easily move it from room to room or even take it outdoors for movie nights. Battery life is solid, and when paired with a large power bank, it can run for hours without interruption.Overall, the Aurzen Boom Air delivers a perfect balance of portability, performance, and ease of use. It’s become one of my favourite tech purchases, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile projector that punches above its weight.

while it took a bit to understand the settings for adjustments, swapping orientation and panning, once I got past that this has been great, I only brought it from a 5 to a 4 star because the speaker is so quiet that I pretty much have to run it at 100 volume just to hear the thing from the same room. if you get this just have it connect to a speaker or something and you will be fine. loads fast and displays bright and great. the kids love it except my 8yo doesn’t understand why he cant watch it during the day lol.
