   Great video doorbell and no monthly fee. What’s not to like?
   It was quick and easy to setup the doorbell and assign it to the chime. It functions well and has a great image quality. And the fact that you don’t need to pay a monthly subscription is the best! Couldn’t be happier with it.

   Really great camera with no subscription!
   This is really clear, easy to use and no subscription doorbell camera. I honestly can’t say enough about it.The familiar faces “ai” is nice since it’s all local and not on some server farm along with all your videos stored locally that gives you immediate live view that’s lag free when motion is detected.Setting up with a chime that was installed literal decades ago was painless.You have the option to get a sub but they aren’t forcing you which might make me a fan for life if all other eufy products are like this as wellAbout setup. If you’re using a newer IPhone AND a mesh network you’ll need to lower the 5ghz band radio power -typically through the web portal not an app, turn off WiFi on your phone, forget your network, reboot your mesh network then connect and do the app linking set up scan process. You can’t disable 5ghz on an iPhone so you might run into setup issues since these things use 2.4ghz and isn’t a Eufy issue but another instance of Apple not letting you do things you want 🙂

   Get this door camera!
   I would highly recommend this camera but if you need a door chime (you can hook this up with Alexa), find that listing then buy it. You won’t be disappointed.I needed a new door camera as my old one just wouldn’t work anymore. I saw an article about this camera and was interested in it because it has a second camera on the bottom so that you can see any packages left on your porch. That was just what I needed. My hubby installed the camera and he didn’t have any issues. The view from the camera is wide. The clarity of the pictures captured and stored are very clear. The night vision is great. The bottom lights are sensitive and will come on when motion is detected. The light is bright enough to draw someone’s attention if they trigger it. I need to adjust the sensitivity for my street with the frequency of cars that we have. I am on a wireless connection and so far I have no lags even when I am viewing the street in real time. The quality of the speakers are great and very clear. The battery so far is going great even with adjustments to sensitivity. It didn’t take long to charge the battery but you can buy a second battery to swap back and forth. You need the special key to unhook the camera from the base and I like that the key is magnetic so you can stick it on your fridge to keep from losing it. It’s been through a thunderstorm or two. No water damage. I will edit when the winter hits and see how it holds up.It was easy to connect my phone to the camera and I will have to do it for the other members in my home. (Again, THIS LISTING DOES NOT HAVE A CHIME WITH IT.) I found the listing with the chime AFTER the fact but imo a chime should be standard. Everyone doesn’t have Alexa or a Homebase like me as my old door camera came with one. Other than that, I would recommend this camera.

   Works great! Easy installation and connection to our Wi-Fi. I was also able to power it from our existing doorbell button wiring so it keeps continually charged and also still operates the existing doorbell chime. Automatically records and alerts me on my phone or tablet wherever I am that someone is at (or near) the front door. The free Eufy app works great also. Good video quality and also records audio. The best part of all is NO monthly subscription is needed, unlike competing products, so there is zero cost after the initial purchase. That’s what sold me on Eufy 🙂

It was founded in 2011 and maintains subsidiaries in Japan, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Anker is the owner of the ‘eufy’ brand name (with a small ‘e’), that debuted in 2016, primarily known for its RoboVac robotic vacuums. ‘eufy’ launched its home security products in 2018 and the brand is now well known for its wide range of security products and services. Like its parent Anker brand, ‘eufy’ cuts out the middleman, selling via Amazon and directly from its own website.With all the TV commercials about security video doorbell cameras, I decided I wanted one. Before purchasing, I went to Best Buy so I could inspect the different video doorbell cameras — Ring, Nest, Arlo, Blink, ‘eufy’, and others — because I did not want to rely on just what I saw on television or internet video or read about. I chose ‘eufy’ primarily because of my perception of the quality of the device in comparison to the others and also because of its battery option and freedom from subscription. I chose to buy on Amazon because its service and pricing are excellent and beyond compare, which is why I am an Amazon Prime subscriber. I purchased the bundled ‘eufy’ Security Video Doorbell E340 – Model: T8214′ and the ‘eufy’ MiniBase Chime – Model: T8023′ (Security Video Doorbell E340 Add-On Indoor Chime). The ‘eufy’ Security Video Doorbell E340 is dual enabled to be either Wired or Battery Powered, your choice: Choose battery mode for easy installation or choose wired mode to eliminate charging altogether. I chose the battery setup. Although it comes with a quick-release battery pack, a backup battery is available as a separate purchase, and recommended as a spare for quick swaps to avoid downtime due to charging.In my opinion, on inspecting the ‘eufy’ Video Doorbell E340, the look of the design and the feel of its construction indicate that it is evidently manufactured with high-quality materials and components; the device has a substantial feel. The manufacturing assembly is flawless. Holding the devices, I felt the other manufacturer’s builds were more plastic and less substantial. About the technology, I relied on what I read. Also, I read reviews about the difference in the various manufacturers employment of camera technology. It is a matter of debatable science, but I chose to believe ‘eufy’s’ technology is excellent. As for privacy, I am not concerned about Anker ‘eufy’ being a Chinese manufacturer or that their devices might spy on me. I am pleased with the Anker ‘eufy’ Security product.After installing the ‘eufy’ App (Version v4.8.2_2005 Updated Mar 8, 2024) on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone (running One UI 6 Android 14), the ‘eufy’ App presents a QR code to be scanned by the ‘eufy’ Video Doorbell E340 camera to pair the camera to my Wi-Fi router. I had some difficulty in pairing my ‘eufy’ Battery-powered Video Doorbell E340 to my Netgear Nighthawk gigabit Wi-Fi Cable Modem Router because I did not know that the ‘eufy’ doorbell E340 cannot connect directly to a Wi-Fi network. A HomeBase is required, and it must be setup and paired before pairing the doorbell. I purchased the ‘eufy’ MiniBase Chime add-on for the E340 doorbell and still needed assistance in pairing the devices with my Wi-Fi. Telephoning customer support was immediately rewarding, with a real live intelligent person.Routers typically broadcast Wi-Fi networks in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. In order to set up your ‘eufy’ Security devices successfully, be sure you select the SSID that indicates it is a 2.4 GHz network. Your smartphone has a setting to enable you to see the Wi-Fi frequency. If your router has the same Wi-Fi network name for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands, your ‘eufy’ Security device will automatically connect to the 2.4GHz band. Pairing the MiniBase and the Video Doorbell isn’t so straight forward. For this I needed personal instruction. I’m not technologically astute.My experience with Anker – ‘eufy’ Customer Support was excellent. The Customer Support Team was professional and conscientious. Well-trained and knowledgeable, they diligently devoted all the time needed on the phone, patiently, caringly and courteously talking me through the connection procedure. I first paired the MiniBase Chime to my Netgear Nighthawk Wi-Fi Router’s 2.4 GHz frequency using the ‘eufy’ App. My Wi-Fi router confirmed its 2.4 GHz connection to the ‘eufy’ App, and the ‘eufy’ App confirmed its connection to the MiniBase Chime.Then I paired the ‘eufy’ Video Doorbell E340 with my Wi-Fi router through the ‘eufy’ App by using the video doorbell camera to scan the QR code produced by the ‘eufy’ App. This didn’t go as expected. It didn’t pair with my router, it paired with the MiniBase Chime. The ‘eufy’ App chain of connection first connects the base to the Wi-Fi and then the doorbell to the base. The doorbell doesn’t appear in my router’s list of connected devices; the router only shows that the base is connected. However, the doorbell functions as it should. I get a live feed video on my ‘eufy’ App. The vision on the App is very clear. When the doorbell button is pressed, the MiniBase Chime rings; so does my phone. I can talk and hear through the App. The connection procedure progressed as it should. Order and method are essential. The connection procedure progressed perfectly, thanks to the technical expertise of the ‘eufy’ support engineers talking me through each step.’eufy’ Security Customer Support was admirably and commendably tireless. Their dedication was resolute. They did not give up, and were extremely patient with my lack of technical knowledge. I could not be more pleased. My Anker ‘eufy’ Security Video Doorbell is a prestigious addition to the technology in my home. It works, and it is awesome!

   So, I recently picked up the Eufy Video Doorbell E340 for a security boost, and it’s been a pretty solid addition.Setting it up was straightforward, even for someone not too tech-savvy like me. The instructions were clear.The video quality is good with the 2K resolution. It gives a clear view, and the wide angle covers a decent area.Motion detection works fine, and I like that I can customize the zones. It does facial recognition, which is a nice touch.The two-way audio is clear, allowing communication with visitors. Night vision is reliable for keeping an eye on things after dark.The app is user-friendly, providing real-time notifications and easy access to past events.In summary, the Eufy Video Doorbell E340 is a decent security upgrade. It does what it’s supposed to without any frills. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable option, this could be it.

    Nous avons changé notre caméra sonnette d’une autre marque pour celle-ci, car nous avions déjà 2 caméras extérieures de la marque Eufy et le home base 2.1. Livraison : Rapide et bien emballé. Ça semble neuf et non utilisé.2. Installation : 2 options de branchement soit à batterie ou filaire. Nous l’avons branché avec l’électricité. Attention vous devez quand même laisser la batterie. Compartiment à notre ancienne caméra sonnette, il n’y avait pas vraiment d’espace pour ranger le fil et on a pas de trou sur la moulure de porte pour ranger le fil. Donc, c’était un peut dur à clipper.3. Configuration : On aurait aimer avoir des explications plus claires pour la configuration. Ça ne voulait pas fonctionner au début. Notre wifi a les 2 bandes passantes. 2.4GHz et 5GHz. Il a détecté que cet appareil fonctionnait avec du 2.4GHz, mais ça ne voulait pas se connecter au Wifi. Il y avait aussi l’option de se connecter à la borne home base et c’est ce qui a finalement fonctionné. J’ai aussi remarqué à la toute fin qu’il y avait le code QR sur la boîte. Au lieu de le faire à chaque fois en arrière de la sonnette.Par la suite, ça nous amenait à une mise à jour qui mentionne prendre un délai de 5 min. Ça ne voulait pas se faire on a ignoré cette étape et j’ai réalisé que ça s’est fait tout seul plus tard dans la journée.Donc, finalement ça fait une semaine et tout fonctionne bien. La qualité de l’image est très bonne. Avec 2 caméras, dont une en bas nous permettre de voir nos colis et même notre chat!Cette sonnette fonctionne par des grands froid. On a eu des températures de -25 degré Celsius.Je la recommande !!
