    Pleasantly surprised, very nice guitar
I’ve bought an embarrassing amount of discount guitars recently, as modding has become my pandemic hobby. As a cheap HH Strat clone with a basswood body, this was perfectly priced. Still intend to mod it, with active pickups and a double locking trem to start. But I was surprised at the quality out of the box. Just a half step out of tune, perfect action, intonation already spot on. It’s pretty too. The solid white color is a compromise for me, but I love the cut of the body and pickguard. The neck+fretboard is sweet, almost like a Les Paul neck on a Strat, I just love it. If there is any negative about this guitar, it’s the stock pickups, but they’re not disappointing at all. We’ll see how it actually goes with my planned mods, but regardless I’d highly recommend this for beginners or anyone just looking for a cheap guitar. It’s fantastic.

    Not exactly as pictured
Nice guitar, just not as pictured with metal neck plate and back cover is different. Some pictures must be from when guitar was first released, 10+ yrs ago. Also pic guard is single ply and looks very cheap, at this price most have a 3 ply.

This is my first guitar, so I can’t really draw comparisons but looks good.Little shorter than I expected you might wanna check on the specification. Quality seems really solid finish is smooth and all the mechanical parts look tight and functional. What you would expect from a Japanese manufacturer (assembled in China). Again, I don’t know if it sounds great compared to other guitars since this is my first but to me it sounds pretty after tuning.Overall in my personal opinions it’s a solid beginner electric guitar.

I could rate this guitar five stars easily or I can rate it one it’s kind of confusing
The pros -Value for the money seems pretty good yes beginners can play this but I’m a 33-year veteran and I think it plays great Id gig with it. For stock pickups they sound pretty good really good cranked up with some heavy distortion they sing as expected for a high output pickup but you can also back them down with the volume in the tone and you can find a nice array of different tones the tremolo is pretty much useless if you planning on doing some heavy dive bombs but for just mild trem dives it’s not too bad just don’t be too hard on it cuz it will go out of tune majorly out of tune the 16 radius neck is very nice for playing lead I haven’t played an Ibanez in a lot of years since 2010 when I had a real nice RG was in the 700 class. It reminded me of how much fun that guitar was to play although I’m a serious Jackson lover with the 12-16 compound radius necks I could see myself playing a Ibanez again. The cons-quality control is a real issue now I should have returned this by all means it has a knot in the middle of the neck in the very back thus making the truss rod almost not existing. It’s already tightened to take the massive back bow out of it to make it play as the company knew this neck was bad but sent it out anyway, further making the truss rod useless now seeing that it’s already tightened about to the max. Although it still plays good this will become a serious issue after a while my son plays it so hopefully he’s not too hard on it and it’ll last a while but honestly because of the hassle of returning things with Amazon I chose not to but I really should have.I will put further pictures up to explain where this knot is and what it’s doing to the neck when you loosen the truss rod to zero it has a massive back bow I’m a professional luthier so I really know what I’m talking about to anyone looking to purchase one of these give it a real good look over and make sure your neck’s not like this it’s probably a one out of 100 chance but it seems that I had to get that one out of the hundred. To a luthier that also builds guitars the biggest no no of making necks is having any type of wood protrusion, knot, blemish or any kind of real imperfections you just don’t use that wood but these guys pulled the El cheapo and really stuck it to me with this one honestly I really believe I’m going to go ahead and write the company and explain the problem in detail and what the problems are and I expect them to give me a new one I will update on that one at a later time. I hate to have to give this awful review but I have to be truthful and honest I happen to get the one that was a lemon but honestly it’s a damn fine sounding lemon. To be continued
