Easy setup, extra features, and good video quality
Update: Now that we’ve had it a minute, we’re still pleased. It is a little hiccupy on Google home, but we’re pretty ok with that. To be fair, it interrupts the music streaming to display the camera anyway, so we haven’t done it that way much at all. The notifications are usually prompt on both of our android phones. When there is a delay, I’m pretty sure it has to due with the sleep status of the phone and not with the camera, though that’s really just my theory. The picture quality is great. Being able to block sections out of the motion detection has worked nearly perfectly – the angle of the sun does affect some shadows stretching farther than what i have blocked in the morning, but I haven’t decided whether to draw over that part, leave it be, or set up times when notifications are off. It’s obviously not a big problem or I would have fixed it. So anyway, that’s the update. We haven’t needed to use the speaker or microphone, but we did test them. Neat things…you have to have the volume on your phone on to be able to hear the person! (Duh, I know. I always have mine turned off, though, so I just didn’t think about it at first). Also downloaded the PC version, which was easy to set up and streams perfectly with no hiccups. Very handy while working, since I can pull the camera up that way and not interrupt my streaming music. And the light is very bright, according to my husband, who has to leave super early in the am for work each day. ;)Original review: Snagged this camera on a flash sale, but I had already mostly decided on this brand for good reviews, reasonable pricing, storage options, and Google compatibility. Before installing it, I plugged it in and set it up to make sure everything would work. No need to drill holes in the house until you verify it’s not DOA! Setup if the camera and app was super easy, though there wasn’t really anything in the instructions about it. The hard part was belly crawling through our super tiny attic multiple times to map, plan, and fish wires. The plug doesn’t appear outdoor rated, but it didn’t make sense to us to plug it in outside, anyway. I mean, then someone could just unplug it, duh. So in the teeny tiny attic I went. After several trips and most of the afternoon, we finally got the wires where we wanted. Since I had already set it up to test, all that was left was to mount the camera, plug it in, take a ton of tylenol, have some beer, and wait until the next day to aim it. As far as mounting, it’s a nice and easy base, and they even include a little paper template to drill the holes for anchors. The night picture is before going back out to aim the camera, but you get the idea. The field of view is great. The motion detection is adjustable. Neat feature in there, too- you can mark off areas where you don’t want it to detect motion. I’ve marked off the top right corner where it’s still picking up the edge of the road and the paw print dangling toward the top left. Turned the motion detection down a few times to eliminate notifications for shadows, etc. Less than a day in and I think I’ve just about got it fine tuned to pick up a car in the driveway or a person walking up to the house, but to ignore headlights passing, leaves moving, etc. Picture quality seems great to me. I haven’t viewed it on the TV yet, but it’s more than enough resolution on a phone or Google hub display. I’ve played with saving pictures and videos. I’ve seen plenty of screenshots taken from a variety of other camera which were grainy, poorly lit, etc, and you wouldn’t be able to identify anyone. These are much more clear than most I’ve seen, in case we were to need to ID a person or anything. Also, motion push notifications are prompt. The spotlight is plenty bright enough. The night vision is clear, both in grayscale and when it automatically switches to color. Pleased with all aspects.

Very nice cameras and very nice PC App
Reolink is about the only cameras that offer a good FREE PC App! We live in South Central Florida with lots of wildlife, but with all the other cameras I had I could not turn off the IR lights or the spot lights and all they do is attract all the bug and moths, and then they attract the spiders. OMG what a mess! I had to sweep spider webs down every other day and the side of the house was a mess from the bug juice! This camera allows you to turn off the Status light and the IR lights and have the Spot lights come on only when they detect movement! Yaaaaa! You can individually adjust sensitivity for cars, people and animals and it will detect at a long distance! We have landscape lights in the back yard that actually provide enough light to get a clear enough view without the IR lights. The front of the house has street and yard lights that do the same! No more spiders!! These cameras were a genuine breeze to set up and get connected!! Very easy to mount outside, but, remember…..they need power from an outlet! The video quality is excellent and the PC app allows me to save video clips and snapshots to my PC hard drive! Once the app is on your phone (Bluetooth must me on) and the cameras are added, the PC app will find them on it’s own. If not, make sure your PC network setting is on Public. These cameras work fine from an installed Micro SD Card and can be set to overwrite when the card gets full. I am using 256 GB cards because I had them already and I am recording 24/7. I get about 7 days out of that, BUT, I do NOT have to pay any kind of monthly fee!! You can double the SD Card size to 512 GB if you wish and only record the events. Great Cameras!! For the people that had bad reviews, maybe they just got a bad one or didn’t set it up properly. I am very happy!

    Great inexpensive security option
This is a very good value outdoor camera that’s simple to set up. I did initially have some connection issues like other reviews mention where the camera worked for a day or two then lost connection but after an update it works perfectly. (It was connecing to my network because I’d get real time notifications but couldn’t see the feed or adjust camera settings until I power cycled it). I set the camera at a weekend cabin and went back and forth with customer support while I was unable to physically access the camera but they were willing to replace it if I couldn’t get it working and sent me a prepaid shipping label with daily follow ups and fast replies. Once I was on site and tried a few things the camera stopped having issues and has worked flawlessly. The person/auto/motion AI detection isn’t perfect but is a big time saver compared to not having it. It’s oversensitive so it isn’t missing anything, it just sends some false alerts which I prefer over not getting alerts. There are lots of setup options too as far as getting notifications (sensitivity, schedule, area blackout). The outdoor speaker isn’t loud but if it’s set up near a door for example, it’s adequate and you can hear it over road noise. Sound on the viewing end is great. Picture and video quality are very good. The cord is small and long enough I was able to remove a window trim and run to an inside outlet but you could just run it through a window to make it easy. Again, I think this is a solid value if you are just getting your feet wet with security cameras or want to cover several angles/locations without breaking the bank. Whether I spend $50 or $300 on a camera, I expect the technology to advance and I’d probably replace it in a few years for one reason or another. At this point spending $50 on a few of these gives me what I need. It’s a small inconspicuous camera, the night video and spotlight are more than adequate to cover my driveway and yard and I’m able to check in any time to see what the weather is like or if the grass needs mowing. It has more than enough micro sd capacity and they offer additional storage options if needed. Reolink customer support has been good and they offer lots of options if you want more failsafe/advanced security monitoring. But for me, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t have at least a couple of these if they have wifi and don’t have any other security at home or at a getaway location. The app works very well, the brand has lots of options and the customer support is there if needed.

Got two of these from wharehouse deals. One came repackaged but both appeared brand new. They seem well made and the mount is easy to install/adjust. Set up was easy aside from needing to reset my router for them to recognize my wifi. The app does all the work, just scan the QR code and follow the prompts.Video quality is quite good when you set it to the highest setting. I am using 64gb SD cards and they record a few days worth. You can set them to always record, record certain time frames or only record motion. The motion detection works well just make sure to set your detection zones. Car headlights will set it off at night from time to time but not enough to be annoying. Audio quality is fantastic. I can hear people talking across the road. You can toggle audio on or off.All in all they were a great value and easy to use.

Fantastic add-on camera to my NVR system. Was easy to setup like all Reolink products. Great image and sound quality. I have it setup in the garage, great colour imagery during the day and black & white in pitch black darkness, both crisp with or without the strobe. The cable was extra long so it was very easy for placement to the nearest plug. Wireless connection was a plus for me in this instance.

Perfect and Excellent.!Item as described. High quality product. Worth the price. Easy to set up. Plug in and play. Came with Au plug (cos ordered from Au).Motion sensor promptly triggers to the phone in 3 sec. View camera anytime anywhere from the phone app and camera will take you to the life view in 3 sec.The cam spotlight is brighter than expected. Also can set the night view in b&w or colour.Me, only struggling atm with is doesn’t know properly how to playback in length more than 4 seconds. Apart from that it works perfectly fine.Worth it & Love it. Will definitely buy a couple more for my backyard & corners of my house soon after I found out how to playback in full length.Highly recommended.Ta.!
