I bought this on sale and was very surprised how easy it was to get started. Great video that downloads to your phone in seconds. You have front videos. Rear Videos and single photos to choose from the memory card. I play back the 4K videos on a computer monitor and the quality is fantastic. I checked around several shops and they all wanted almost $300 to install this front/rear camera, I was shocked at that price and decided to try it myself. Very easy to tuck in the wires so you don’t see anything. The hard part is to HARD WIRE this unit to your fuse panel. You have to purchase the ROVE hard wire kit which basically has 3 wires to connect. One constant hot. One hot with the key on and a ground. You have to hardwire the unit if you want to take advantage of the parking/surveillance and G sensor features. I ran into a problem with my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee the fuse box is under the front hood. There are no interior fuse locations. You would have to run the wires through the fire wall into the hood. Crazy. Maybe that’s why it is so expensive. If you have a normal car with a fuse box in the interior of your car the hardwire kit is a must. I ended up getting a OBD2 – to USB type C connector cord. $30.00 The OBD2 connector is the small 16 pin connector on the drives side that mechanics use to OBD (onboard diagnostics port) That jumper cord has only 3 pins in it (2 ground pins and one constant hot) . The camera is great. My installation problems are from my car and not this product.

Great 4k dual dash cam for a ridiculous low price
I’ve purchased several higher priced dash cams than the Rove, and quite frankly the Rove offers far superior performance at a far lower price point. I mean the value is incredible for what you get. The tech specs on this are actually more impressive than the flagship Garmin X310 cam that I also recently purchased. What separates the two is ease of use; the Garmin is easier to set up and easier to use, and also offers cloud based subscription services that aren’t offered by Rove. The Garmin cams are also smaller and less obtrusive, with higher quality matte plastic. But as far as features and video quality for the money, this Rove is unmatched. You get a front 4k dash cam plus a rear dash cam, plus all necessary installation hardware, including a memory card, for 1/3 the cost of a comparable Garmin. The Rove doesn’t have a touch screen, and setup is somewhat tedious even for someone such as myself who is very tech savvy. All said and done though, this camera is proof that you can have an outstanding flagship device for very low cost, provided you’re willing to deal with some tedious installation and setup as well as forgo any extra cloud based support.

So many products these days make me feel like I’m getting ripped off. Like, I want/need a widget, it just feels a little too expensive, but hey I’ll buy it anyway because I want/need it, right? I’ll get my widget, open the packaging, and be instantly unimpressed… The packaging is cheap, the build quality is poor—just overall leaves a bad taste in my mouth (especially because I wasn’t totally convinced on the price in the first place). I can safely say this is 99% of my consumer experience with most products.I got my Rove dashcam and was instantly impressed.-Packaging is solid down to the plastic they use to hold each part! The box is something I’ll be saving for knick-knacks and whatnots-Love, love, love that it came with an installation tool 🔥 . I hate cables and their messy aesthetic, so took extra care to hide mine. Again, a lot of widgets won’t bother with these little extras that make all the difference-User manual is on point. So many widgets come with manuals that leave me more confused than if I had nothing at all. Rove’s is comprehensive and it gave me confidence in the product itself-Set up was super easy. Scroll through the menus and you’re good to go. Extra points for the included SD card!-Works on start up straight out of the box with legit picture quality-(I will try and remember to update after a few months of use to comment on recording properties)My only gripe, and this is a me thing, I wish the cable from cam to USB port was a couple feet longer. Perfect length to the dash port, but I want to plug mine in the center console under my arm rest… Just a couple feet too short for that 🤷.***If you’re like me and need a cable that’s a little longer, take note that you get one rated with proper wattage.I will 100% recommend Rove to anyone looking for a quality dashcam.

Great product & amazing customer service!
The only reason the product gets a 4 star was because the first rear dash cam I got was defective. However, if I could, I’d give the customer service a 6 star rating.They were able to help me troubleshoot my issues in real time. Even though the product was defective, they helped me replace it. Within about 3 weeks time, I was able to get a proper rear dash camera paired with the properly functioning front dash cam.The set up is also very easy. The only thing that’ll take a little time is configuring the wire organization since every vehicle is built a bit different.The camera quality is also pretty good during the day & night. You’re able to see everything necessary both in the front & rear. I highly recommend this product.
